The rule on ebay (or any online auction site where you are buying something from
someBODY, rather than some COMPANY -- and, actually ANY transaction like this,
even person-to-person) is "caveat emptor". You're pretty much on your own,
although you CAN complain to ebay and they MIGHT do something useful, such as
shut down the person's account or whatever. But, quite likely, you're out your
money if the person is truly dishonest.
