The personalities that pre-qualified are: CMQTest (Temporarly CMSilver),
CMKing+, Test2, Chessmaster, Test5, CM5500JS, Timman, Smyslov, and Frederic.

I have chosen CMQueen++, CMExtra, Liam2000, CM6666, Fischer, CMTEST2, and Test6
to be in the tournament.

Group A
CMQueen++, Liam2000, CM5500JS, Timman

Group B
CMExtra, Chessmaster, Test5, Frederic

Group C
CMKing+, Test2, Test6, Fischer

Group D
CMSilver, CM6666, CMTEST2, Smyslov

Here are the conditions for the tournament:

Time Control: 40/120
Opening book: Chessmaster.obk (new edition)
Rounds: 2 (double-round robin)
Programs: Chessmaster 6000 & 7000 (1 cpu)
Games: Same as Sousse (Interzonal tournament where Fischer withdrew)
"The rounds are scheduled so that there are rounds on Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday. Fridays are free. Rounds again on Saturday on Sunday. Mondays
free." Exception is October 2. and any time I fall behind.

Sorry, but Fischer will play on Wednesdays.

I'll do my absolute best to avoid disruptions.

The top 2 qualifiy to the semi-finals. Tie-breakers are 2 G/60 games. If tied,
then G/25 until someone wins. Tie-breakers last 1 day.

Quarterfinals: 4 games long. 40/120
C1 vs A2 (first in Group C faces 2nd place in Group A), A1
vs C2
D1 vs B2
D2 vs B1

Tie-breakers are the same.

Semi-finals: 4 games long. 40/120
C1-A2 winner vs A1-C2 winner
D1-B2 winner vs D2-B1 winner

Finals: 6 games long. 40/120
Semi-finals winners qualify for the Chessmaster Championships in December.
Winner is CM World Cup Champion!

If games are lost due to power outage or disruption, then sadly, a new game must
be started from scratch.

Any questions, please reply or e-mail.

P.S. I apologize that I was unable to include BENDORZ, CM6555, CMKing and
Kasparov in the tournament.
