Some just flat out do not work, and there is no way around it. And the above programs that you list, Eugen and Mirage? I have never seen Winboard versions of those programs, although they might actually exist, I've only seen Dos versions of those, and there's no way that will work, but I love them as Dos programs. Chessbase offers some Winboard engines allready configured to run in their gui, those offer great examples of how it's done properly. Pete
