I think if you follow the next steps, you will understand the Fritz Winboard
Adapter.

1) Create the Averno 0.31 Directory into the Fritz Engine Directory.

2) For example, rename this directory with "Averno031".

3) The Averno 0.31 should look like this one:

\Engines\Averno031

4) Verify you have all the Averno 0.31 files in the \Averno031 Directory:

Averno.libro
Averno031.exe

5) Rename the Averno030_HT48.exe file with the same name of the Averno
directory. Your \Averno031 Directory should look like this:

Averno.libro
Averno031.exe

6) Create the following .init file with the name "Averno031.init". This file is
required for the Fritz Winboard Interface and it must have the same name that
the \Averno031 Directory. The content of this file is:

[Parameter]
CommandLine =
Engine      = Averno0.31
Author = José Carlos Martínez Galán
Debug       = False

[Support]
AnalyzeMode = False
PonderMode  = False
CastleAndEP = False

7) Ok, Your \Averno031 Directory must look this:

Averno.libro
Averno031.exe
Averno031.init

8) Now, make a new copy of the Winboard Adapter File in the Fritz Engines
Directory.

9) Rename this new copy as Averno031.eng. Realize that the name of the .eng file
is the same one of the \Averno031 Directory. Now, you should be able to start up
the Averno0.31 Engine on the Fritz Gui.

Warning: It's important you unable all the Fritz Loaded Opening Books.

Best Regards, Arturo.
