Some comments... Marcus told me he has given a beta-copy to another member of your beta team because the person in question (a well respected person totally beyond any doubt) lost this beta-copy while you were on holidays. I don't see any fishy going on provided the story is true. Secondly (according Marcus) there was no kind of non-disclosure agreement between the two of you. Maybe you should be more clear next time what is allowed and what is not? Harming Shredder? You must be kidding. Marcus is a man of the first hour loving ALL the chess programs like most of us here and as I know him he is without any prejudices against any program. If you read his magazine well you will see how enthusiastic he is about your program. About the magazine: it is out. I received my copy saturday. There is nothing in the magazine of Shredder5-beta except in his rating list Shredder 5 BETA is listed as number one. Is that harming you? On the front page is listed: "The new ChessBits Rating List with the brand new results of Shredder5, Tiger II, Nimzo8, Gandalf 4.32f and Century3!" So he forgot to add the word BETA for all these versions as all those engines are were not released when the magazine was printed. Big deal. As far as I can see it that's about the only legal point you have. Ed
