Hello Arturo, thanks again Averno031 works now (i let it play a 8 game match and there were no problems) however i have no "Averno.libro" file(wat sort of file is that? i could not find a *.libro file in any of my Engines) and i did use the power.ctg book of chessbase. Could the use of a Fritz openings book with the Winboard engines in the Fritz GUI give problems with them? The Dragon 3.11.2 Engine gives still the "illegal move a1-a1" , i have the same *.init file as in Averno only the CommandLine = xboard is different. Best Regards, Leo.
