As Uri Blass has said elsewhere--Hiarcs 7.32 is an >older program and Fritz 6 is a newer program. Looks pretty equal to me. Ha,Ha. I suspect that it is Fritz6light because I know that terry in the past wrote Fritz6 when the right name was Fritz6light. The point of my post in the general chess forum was not to say that testing against old programs is meaningless but to say that you cannot get into conclusion about which program is best by this method. You can clearly learn that Rebel and tiger are better than older versions of the same programs by this test and you can learn that it is better than the commercial programs of today so the testing is not meaningless but you cannot use the results to say which program is the best program to buy. My post was in response to the question which program is best and I meant to say that it is not fair to say that Rebel or tiger is best when we have not enough information to know. Uri
