If you download the ChessBase configuration files for the Winboard Engines, you will be able to realize how to set up every Winboard Engine. The other work is in your behalf, so you should test every Winboard Engine according to the Winboard Configuration Files supplied by Frank Quisinsky. By this way, you can get real conclusions about the usefulness or useless of the Frank Quinsinsky's information. Please, it is not a controversial point. I am trying to help you! :) On my behalf, I could make clear very particular features of the ChessBase Winboard Adapter, using the Frank Quisinsky's information. It was decisive for my understanding about the ChessBase Winboard Adapter. You can read my sample step by step of how to configure a Winboard Engine on the ChessBase GUI. I posted this information in this Forum. The Posted Message is: http://www.icdchess.com/forums/1/message.shtml?131118 The example uses the Averno0.31 Winboard Engine. Other thing is the Native ChessBase Engines: you can get some of them in the ChessBase Download Page: http://www.chessbase.com/download/index.htm The native ChessBase engines are "real" .eng files that you have only to put in the \Engines Directory. All this information is the Start-Up Point, but the route for getting the succesful testing point is on your behalf. Best Regards, Arturo.
