Yngvi is an old Icelandic name. Icelandic, unlike English, has very simple
pronouncation rules where each letter has its own distict sound (and only
one sound!). There are only a few exceptions to this, one being that i and y are
pronounced the same. Thus, in Icelandic both the names Yngvi and Ingvi exist and
are pronounced the same, so the misspelling is very understandable. :-)
