first of all it speaks for itself that stefan writes this post during my absence. he was very well informed, that i´m offline for several days and he used the right moment for this so that i have had no chance to react. it´s a really nice and smart guy this man. as djordje posted some month ago about him: "...sticking out of the dark, beeing very careful not to be hitten himself..." >Some strange and false statements about my person and my program Shredder have recently been published. I think that it is necessary to make some facts known: >1. The following statements by Marcus Kaestner are FALSE: >* Marcus Kaestner claims on his homepage and the cover of the latest issue of his magazine to have tested a beta version of Shredder5 and the latest beta version of Shredder in his magazine, on the cover he evens calls it just “Shredder5”. you are not able to read even german (or you don´t want to read correct). there is no beta-test announced. only the latest results in the chessbits rating list. everybody can see it at: http://mitglied.tripod.de/ChessBits/index.html >2. The CORRECT facts are: >* Marcus Kaestner was a beta tester of Shredder until beginning of June 2000 when I found out that he has copied beta versions to third parties. there are some more explanations necessary: 1.i was not a beta tester, i was involved in making the engine stronger. 2.i never gave a beta to a third party. this is only a pretence to hurt me and to damage my image in the public. you are a mean guy! the right thing is, that i gave a beta to elvis, who was book-cooker of shredder, because his beta-version has been crashed and you was not available. even ossi weiner admits these days, that elvis was and is a team-member! by the way: in the law-suite you opened finally, there is no single sentence of giving away betas to unauthorised persons. so everyone can see that this accusement is only for damaging... >* Marcus Kaestner has found other programs to support, e.g. he was operating Tiger in London and was responsible for Rebel and Tiger playing the Belgrade Gambit in London against Shredder as he knew that previous versions of Shredder have handled this opening not very well. Luckily for me the London version of Shredder has improved also in this regards, you are really a mean guy! first you posted that i wanted to outbook shredder using my inside knowledge. when ed and christophe said that it was only jeroens work, you said that you have had the impression because of my behavior in london in the tiger-shredder game. what a lie! 1.you know very well, that i never use my inside knowledge. last year before the wcc in paderborn YOU wanted me to prepare shredder against tiger for the tournament, because i was the owner of the latest tiger versions! i refused and said to you, that i would NEVER do that, because the other programmers are trusting me. 2.it is not possible that you could have the impression that i would have done that. at the beginning and during the game i said to you, that i would never do that and that the opening choice was only jeroens work. but here you have the face to insult me this way. poor man... >* I have no idea why Marcus Kaestner is acting like this except for pushing his magazine and trying to harm Shredder. nonsense. i never have harmed shredder or any other program. so you think i harm shredder? out of this reason i announced shredder to become world champion in london? out of this reason i publish the latest tournament list with new shredder on no.1, beeing more than 100 points above fritz 6? your mind must be fogged, your success has been coming to your head.... i have compassion on you. and a last thing: it doesn´t matter what you or your nasty boss will do to me: your program will get the review it deserves. objective and without pre-justice. that is my understanding of journalism. but you and your boss as persons should take care about yourselves VERY well. the moment will come when the open invoice will be paid... i can wait. marcus
