Clear and simple: Yes
The point is that you considered your own "advantage" of publishing
something as early as possible - good for the image of the
know-all-Korner - more important than the possible damage for Ed. And
since you are one of the most often read multiplicators for newbies and
other computer chess hobbyists on the net - due to your many articles on
the user interface features of programs - it will be hard for you to
deny any responsibility.

How can Ed have trust in your responsability in the future?

I don't want to be any kind of judge - I just ask you ...
