Yes, that's unusual. I have a K6-2/500 on a FIC PA-2013 and it is set at 2.2
Volts. I used 3.3 for my old K6/233 which also suffered from overheating because
of this. AMD used to recommend an extra large fan and thermal paste on the CPU.
