Download the freeware program Wcpuid from this URL.
It identifies the processor, clock speed and a bunch of other things I don't
understand. I have a K6-2 500 processor, on an Asus board. For me it was a
resonable price to upgrade and no problems after two months of intense use.

In my Asus manual it gives voltage ranges for the different areas on the
motherboard. Voltage for the K6-2 500 cpu is 2.2 (default as Christophe says)
but can go up to 2.4 max. The Dram voltage setting is default of 3.5 but can go
up to 3.6 or 3.8. So the voltage varies for Dram and cpu.
