i recieved this message from chessbase and had questions on how to interpert it. The engine should always print the mainlines, also during pondering, the adaptor relies on that. The move played by the engine will always be the 1st move of the most recent mainline. If there was no mainline, the adaptor tries to create a one-move mainline from the move played by the engine. This works only if it is printed out in the standard way. If this fails, too, an empty move is returned. Main lines is principle variation? How can the move played by the engine always be the first move of the most recent mainline. what if it changes. And what does it mean printed out in standard way. I use 'move d1d2' for example. I see gnu chess uses 'My move is: c7g3' is this the standard way? Input would be appreciated.
