Go up one level in this thread

Bob isn't dispassionate, he shows up here as a hot tempered individual who in
the heat of the debate sometimes forget he's in a discussion.
Yet I can't recall *anyone* who was kicked out clearly because of *disagreeing*
with him - over and over again.

There's no need to disrespect Hyatt for his position - because of his
accomplishments. People feel no need to respect his opinions more to be able to
question them - in a decent way.

But with a lot we are talking about a different breed.
Given Hyatt's position in the computer chess community it's no surprise there
are people waiting for an opportunity to jump onto him. That's a drawback of
being famous in your own circle. We all remember rgcc and petrol related stories
- recent crude oil prices draw a new light on that btw :)

These kind of people are the professional havoc makers we all know so well -
today it's Hyatt, tomorrow another CCCelebrity- and accordingly they're rapidly
identified (as stalkers indeed) with always that one incident as an opportunity
to kick them out.

IMO there's no need to kick them out - this group has shown to deal sufficiently
with the havock makers. One way or another.

At the end the stalker guy tells us about the abuses he had to endure- he won on
arguments - yet he was kicked out because the truth was too much for some people
here or they're too dumb - or words alike.
He is half right: he didn't "win", he *was* kicked out, and it wasn't the truth
- at most *his* twisted truth people were indeed to dumb to understand.

Observing those "discussion" I must conclude that the truth of those people
mostly are "kick the establishement". A nice going I'm still very interested in,
as I never grow up.

No need to tell you that the core of this message board can also be discussing
what *that* truth is and what is not - and that quite some people here - I'd
vote for the larger majority - are getting rapidly nervous when those
discussions pop up.

I love playing with my chess programs - y'all love programming - and I love a
good and decent fight - making the Internet a real place I wanna be, not the
Never-neverland some Peter Pan's wanna make it here.
