If you are having fun with the tournament, then by all means go ahead.

I would suggest the following:

1. On a fairly regular basis (say when a round is complete) you could give a
report.

2. In the subject title, put: CM Personality Contest: Fischer verses Spassky
instead of just "Fischer verses Spassky" which is (understandably) confusing.

Personally, I don't much care about the contest but I *would* like a copy of the
PGN when you have finished. Everything that everyone posts here will be boring
drivel to some, mildly interesting to some, and fascinating to others.

As long as the content is about computer chess (This is 'the computer chess
club' after all) there is no problem in posting it here.

The reason that some people are up in arms is that the titles you give are
confusing. For my part, I look at the title and decide if I'm going to read it.
I might see one title and say, "That looks dull" and just ignore it. I might
look at another and say, "Now that's interesting. I think I'll read that one."
But your reactions might be opposite. The point being, that we all use the
subject as an indication to read or ignore posts. If the titles do not reflect
the contents properly, we waste time. If we waste time, we get angry.

Instead of trying to please others with what you post, go ahead and post what is
interesting to you. There *is* a big CM following here, and I imagine that they
like to read them [for instance]. But please do make the subjects clear so that
others can decide what to do about the messages. That goes for everyone (of
course) except for Jeroen, who would only try to fool me.
