By GLP, do you mean the Gnu Public License? I guess GLP would be the correct acronym for that in several languages. You can release this version of your program under the GPL, and then choose to release future versions under a different license, or not at all. The thing is, you own the copyright to Averno (at least i assume you do?) and you can make it available under any license. Releasing under GPL does not mean you give up the copyright. There is one main thing to watch out for. If Averno becomes some sort of open project with many people contributing, then you don't necessarily own the contributions made by other people. You can release your own stuff under different licenses, but if someone else contributes patches or rewrites, then you can only use those under the conditions that the other person wants. If Averno becomes GPL, it is likely that some people who submit patches will want the patches to be GPL too. But if you think you will still be doing all the work on Averno yourself, i can't see any problems. http://www.gnu.org/philosphy/license-list.html has a long discussion of the GPL and a lot of other licenses you could use to release you code.
