Too many engines behave in mysterious ways when used with it in my experience. During the betatesting period, several adjustments were made to correct errors in communication with the adapter protocol, intrusting me with little faith regarding the adapters reliability. Since Gandalf works as perfectly under WinBoard as a native engine works under CB GUI, the suboptimal adapter results in less than optimal performance for any WinBoard engine. If someone can prove me wrong, please do, because it's nagging me :o). When all that is said, I would like to emphasise that Gandalf works very well under CB GUI despite of that. That's the best I can do for explanation, Bertil. If I had programming skills I could probably do a lot better, or prove myself wrong ;o). Regards, Mogens
