I will not be waiting for a CM9000 or the like as then I will have retired from
the hobby of "buying chess programs" (to be precise). But I was expecting CM8000
to be best so far, especially as CM7000 was a bit questionable.
But if this does not turn out to be decisively the case, I will either get
CM6000 or nothing ever of CM (since my CM2100). Or is CM5500 even better?
I'm interested in CM, besides its near-to-top-class playing level, for its
many features, esp. many rated etc. which I can set as standards etc.and make
several comparrisons with.
But I would have done this a long time ago already.
I had a freind who had CM5000, and it seemed quite good, but I would like
something far above that in many ways.
So if the 8000 can be made bug-free and greatly improved (esp. in playing
level, and accuracy of ratings, and near reality in style emulations, and
intelligence of commentary/mentor/speech), over all predescessors, then that
would be best-I think.
