I strongly Agreed that Bobby Fisher of today can't even beat Fritz 6a Using an Athlon 800 MHz at a standard time control, but back in 1970 when he was in his prime, Bobby was just like Kasparov in a class by himself. It was a pitty that he did not accept Karpov challenge, since Karpov was being trained solely to beat Bobby Fisher and I don't have any doubt that Karpov would have taken the title away from Fisher back in the 70's. It would be nice to be able to see a match between a retired Bobby Fisher and Anatoly Karpov nowadays. But my Opinion is that Anatoly Karpov would still destroy Bobby, even if Bobby prepares for six months before facing a still active Karpov. http://www.icdchess.com/forums/1/message.shtml?132226 Pichard.
