Not everything the moderators do is limited to strict enforcement of the charter. A great many issues come up that are not covered by the charter, and even when issues do come up, there is very little in the charter that explains how they should be handled. I think this is a fortunate accident. Please let's let our moderators have some room to personalize their terms, rather than creating a place that is permanently gray and rigid.
