Hm. My results so far, especially against Nimzo98 are not that good.
In the moment I let Hiarcs6 play vs. Mchess7.
It is the first game and move 27. Hiarcs say -428 and Mchess is still in
book and has not computed much. Opening was b03 alekhine- four pawn's
attack.
I guess this first game is pretty worthless because it only shows me
something about the "beautiful" opening book instead of the strength of
the new engine.
But I let it run some more moves to see how deep the Mchess7 book-line
is.
Now it is the 29. move and Mchess STILL in book.
On which results or feelings do you extrapolate your :
Mchess7 will be one of the strongest engines sentence ?
If you want i can report more about my games.
In the moment the game is in move 37 and still mcp7 has NOT computed.
Those opening lines will - of course - help the program to be ranked
high in the ssdf-list ... :-)
I have nothing against a nice opening book. But - as this is the first
autoplayer game against a KNOWN opponent program, the way it develops is
not very amusing. I guess there is no doubt that THOSE lines can only
come into a book when autoplayer-results are dumped and merged into a
book.
Only hiarcs6 would have played this line this way, or ?
So those lines are specific. And they "work" only against hiarcs6.
As hiarcs6 is a good high ranked program, this would result in
decreasing of hiarcs6 rating and increasing of mcp7 rating.
I was the one who defended hiarcs6 against killer-book rumours.
I think mcp7 could be a strong chess program. I - on the other hand -
wonder if this is really necessary...
Here is the line so far...

And Mchess7 computed the first time in the 38th move.
BTW: I am using 2x k6/200 with 60/60 time-control.
I am using /x mode for both programs.
