I think that it should not be changing one word but only deleting part of the
post.
If part of the post is on topic and about computer chess when another part is
insulting then it may be possible to delete only the part that is insulting
I assume that there is no change in the meaning of the part that is not
insulting because of connection between the parts.
It is possible that there is a connection
For example if someone posts
"a but b" when b is the only insulting part
then it is not logical to delete only the second part("but b").
