This is not likely to be true. The cost of the program has little to do with how
often it is pirated. Mostly, it's the TYPE and POPULARITY of the software that
affects how often it is pirated (both on a personal and on a large black-market
scale) Games, of course, are the most likely to be pirated.

Unfortunately, this is also not true, mostly in the Asian markets, where
large-scale black-market piracy is rampant. This is (theoretically) one of the
main reasons for the copy protection. Now, you know and I know that a truly
dedicated pirate/hacker can get anything copied. Just try telling the
decision-makers that....
