Volker reported some time back similar problems to me. Under Windows, I use QueryPerformanceCounter() to get the time. It turned out, that the timer behind this runs orders of magnitude faster on Volker's system, than on mine. My variables overflowed ... Of course, the fix was rather easy, after the culprit of the problem was detected with Volker's help. Grüße, Dieter
