Here's what I think I know judging from my conversation with Theron & Co. Only
the headlines, because the specifics were rather blurry. Besides, I'm no expert.

Rebel 11:

WinBoard compatability: Yes.
Engines: Four amazing new engines.
Database: Ability to create and maintain databses.
Opening book: Ability to create, modify and use opening books.
Analysis: Yes, though it's sligtly unclear how many analysis function there is,
eg. automatic analysis of a game or n-moves mode.
Testsuits: Yes (I think).
Clipboard: Don't know if it's possible to paste games and positions directly.
Playing options: Human-engine, engine-engine (also with autoplay), but not
tournaments. Can you use Nunn positions?
Level (human-engine): Is it possible to vary the playing strength?
ICS support: Yes.

Chessbase:

WinBoard compatability: Yes.
Engines: A multitude of strong engines. Some for free.
Database: Ability to create and maintain databases.
Opening books: Ability to create, modify and use opening books.
Analysis: Infinite analysis, Full analysis, blunder check, n-moves mode and a
few others.
Testsuits: Yes.
Clipboard: Paste games and positions directly.
Playing options: Human-engine, engine-engine (also with autoplay) and
tournaments. Nunn positions possible.
Level (human-engine): Various settings possible: Friend mode, sparring and
handicap.
ICS support: No AFAIK.
