Here's what I think I know judging from my conversation with Theron & Co. Only the headlines, because the specifics were rather blurry. Besides, I'm no expert. Rebel 11: WinBoard compatability: Yes. Engines: Four amazing new engines. Database: Ability to create and maintain databses. Opening book: Ability to create, modify and use opening books. Analysis: Yes, though it's sligtly unclear how many analysis function there is, eg. automatic analysis of a game or n-moves mode. Testsuits: Yes (I think). Clipboard: Don't know if it's possible to paste games and positions directly. Playing options: Human-engine, engine-engine (also with autoplay), but not tournaments. Can you use Nunn positions? Level (human-engine): Is it possible to vary the playing strength? ICS support: Yes. Chessbase: WinBoard compatability: Yes. Engines: A multitude of strong engines. Some for free. Database: Ability to create and maintain databases. Opening books: Ability to create, modify and use opening books. Analysis: Infinite analysis, Full analysis, blunder check, n-moves mode and a few others. Testsuits: Yes. Clipboard: Paste games and positions directly. Playing options: Human-engine, engine-engine (also with autoplay) and tournaments. Nunn positions possible. Level (human-engine): Various settings possible: Friend mode, sparring and handicap. ICS support: No AFAIK. Feel free to comment. Mogens.
