But you forget that the (Super) Constelation was there first. Dave Kittinger is thus the founder of this breed of aggressive and imaginative programs. Like Mchess, the Constelation stood out above the pack at the time it first arrived. Gambit Tiger, looking at its beta results and the enthusiasm of the testers, as well as its current Dutch Open standing, seems to be heading the same way. The bean counters eventually tend to catch up and exploit the weaknesses of that style, but the initial burst onto the scene of such program is always exciting. And they tend to create the never dying cult-like following. All together, not unlike the story (the up and the down part) of the real Mikhail Tal.
