    I'm sure kramnik spent a great deal of time analising kaparov's games to see
what his style is and what his weaknesses are.  Also if you can learn from
analisis such as how to play a postion if it happens again it is a good thing.
If the postion is so complicated that there is no way to really be sure of the
right move and its a question of who saw more complications than the opponent
then maybe analising for the right answer is not the best approach.
    I imagine gms are spending a great deal of time analising these world champ
games particularly those that might face kasparov and kramnik in play.  Seeing
your opponents mistakes gives kind of a psychological edge. It shows he is human
and he blunders. You look for blunders in your own game against such an opponent
with more confidence than if you never found him to make a mistake.
