In fact the position before 1.Re6 is mate in 10.

Chessmaster6000 sees mate in 12 after 6 seconds and mate in 10 after 12 seconds.

3.Rxh6 is not in the main line of chessmaster and the right move is Bf5.
main line:1.Re6 Kg8 2.Bh7+ Kh8 3.Bf5 Kg8 4.Rxh6 g6 5.Rxg6+ fxg6 6.Qxg6+ Qg7
7.Be6+ Rf7 8.Bxf7+ Kh8 9.Qh5+ Qh7 10.Qxh7#
