I am a relatively new computer user and I also happen to be a rather inept wood pusher. I was hoping that getting a good database and ECO could help me to learn and improve. I have some books at home but they don't do me any good as I know I am not using them to the fullest advantage or I would'nt be losing so many won games or making so many blunders. Before I "spring" for a pricy bit of software I would like to know better how to utilize it. I am also concerned about some of the jargon re: bookup, pgn, etc. Is their some reading material that I could peruse that might help explain how to utilize this software tool to the fullest extent and also explain how to use it on the computer? I'd like to make at least one intelligent decision regarding Chess!! Diojaneez@worldnet.att.net
