Subject: I installed Hiarcs book to the hard drive & it still won't use its book?

I did this simple installation several times on my Compaq with Win.95 but now
i'am trying to install Hiarcs opening book to the hard drive of a new Gateway
that is using Windows me and i'am having a weir problem. After the install of
the book to the hard drive of my new Gateway everything appears to have gone OK.

The opening tree shows all the moves are there and the installation puts it in
the default= C:\Program Files\Chess Base\Books\Hiarcs.ctg

All the opening moves are showing in the display window of the Hiarcs program
and i play a game of Chess and i know that the opening moves are coming from the
hard drive as my CD is not spinning. So now i exit the Hiarcs program and remove
the CD. I now go back in the program to play a game of chess and there are no
moves displayed in the programs window nor are there any moves showing
in the opening tree!

Next i go to load the opening book and it shows that hiarcs.ctg is there but i
still try to load it by clicking on hiarcs. ctg and then click on "Open" and it
says that i already have the opening book loaded!

I been in Chessbase's T Notes and followed the Opening tree installation to my
hard drive and this is exactly the way that i install it to my Compaq but when i
do the same install to my new Gateway that is using Windows me i have this
problem. Is there some kind of bug that is causing these problems in with the
Windows me?

I appreciate any help in advance that you can give me, this has me stomped!!!

Best Regards,
Terry
