It may be that hash size setting is too high and it Windows ends up swapping too much to disk. I had an apparent crash with Junior 5.32, where in fact the whole system would slow down what seemed like thousandfold. The Junior seemed to ignore any hash size setting I would make in its dialog box (even though it would show as if it took it) and would revert back to whatever its default was, something like 64Mb (or maybe even 256 Mb). I had to go into its fritz.ini file to change hash there and it worked fine after that. Another way (which also works for other apps with a similar memory allocation bug) to see if the buggy hash size is the problem is to go into Windows Control Panel, click System icon, then Performance Tab, then Virtual Memory, and there you can turn off virtual memory (you need to reboot for change to take effect). Then Junior won't be able to allocate more RAM than the system can actually give it and at worst it may refuse to load or it wil automatically allocate less.
