Get a book of problems and challenge yourself to solve them with a stopwatch. After completing the book go through it again and maybe even a third time. You will often remember the problem and the solution on the seoond and third pass but that's ok! This shows you are learning and reinforcing the tactical patterns. You will be shocked how much this improves your chess. Make sure you get a book that is on your level, too easy is better than too hard, it's the patterns that are important. -- Don
