It's a little difficult to conclude that an opening book is inferior just because a specific opening hasn't proven to be advantageous for a human chess player playing the white side. Off-beat openings are actually quite ideal, because there's leeway for novelties and special preparation, getting the opposition out of book early. So you can't reach a conclusion like that automatically. Mogens.
