Out of topic but interesting. I know of people in my country still playing an unusual type of chess where the pieces are exactly the same but the moves are different like for example: the king can hop like a knight or you can move two pawns during the first move.I know of some instances wherein a strong master takes the challenge of delivering mate against an unknown variant player but always loses.
