It also might depend on the evaluation function of chess programs, ie, crafty (an probably most other strong engines) has differant evaluation for white and black side AFAIK. also it might depend on the book each program uses, and the position the program comes out of book both as white or black. No matter how strong a program is if the book is crap then such stats means nothing. IMO opening book plays a strong role in comp-comp matches. anothing to note is that in Dutch Championship then number of games was not 'big' enough to tell if white has a advantage in computer games.
