Since the tournament director is new to Computer Chess, he might have made a mistake regarding the optimal setting under Fritz or forgotten to write enable the book. The former option might very well affect how many times a losing opening is chosen. This can be devastating without position learning. Btw, I thought that Gandalf only has book learning. Could you post the two games? Mogens.
