It is important. You should not overestimate the power of your computer.

With 98lite, you'll get the feeling it is twice as fast.

When you needed 128Mb of RAM, 64Mb will be enough with 98lite.

No, it's not exactly true.

You have the option to replace the new explorer (the program that lets you open
your folders and see their contents) by the one of Windows 95, which was way
faster.

But in this case you lose some nice features, like the customisable toolbars.

But it's only in the "Micro" and "Sleek" mode.

In "Chubby" mode, you keep the current folder explorer with all its features,
but you just get rid of the webbified useless stuffs. The folder explorer is
much faster, and with your computer it is a very good choice.

Using the 95 explorer is a good choice for those with really slow computers, but
you can just keep the current explorer.

It has evolved, and the professional version is even more powerful.
