  It _was_ 1974,that match was played to select Fischer's challenger.
 As Fischer refused to play the winner [Karpov],the Russian GM was
 declared by FIDE the new world Champion in 1975.[At that time FIDE's
 president was the former titleholder(1935-1937)Max Euwe,from the
 Netherlands]. JAFM  [ To find out the shortest decisive game in the
 World Championships I have neither the means nor the interest. ]
