No, you're right. It does seem strange. Especially the apparent lack of opening
preparation. It's not exactly a sensation that Kramnik chooses to open with d4,
but no solid and well-prepared response from Kasparov as far as I can tell. The
play with white hasn't been convincing either. Why not try the Scotch as a
little surprise, unless he's afraid that Kramnik expects that.

The postmatch interviews will be interesting.
