The challenge of the gmi by corr. Christophe Léotard the large-Master by
correspondence Christophe Léotard defies, since September 14 2000, two programs
in a match by correspondence which is retransmitted on the site of Europe
Failures like in the review regularly. He plays four parts against Hiarcs and
Chess Tiger, having once the Blacks and the White against each program.
Unconquered since 8 years and 102 parts (+69 = 33) against the human ones, this
challenge is particularly interesting insofar as Mr. Léotard is an enthusiastic
defender of the human thought against that of the silicon chips (see its article
in Europe Failures July-August, p.60). Its challenge is to be greeted, because
it is rather demanding with itself insofar as it should not lose any part, even
in the event of null match. See the payment of this original meeting: here. The
part Hiarcs 7.32 - Léotard is already quite committed. The opening, a Defense
Sicilian Svechnikov alternative, gives place to a very tactical combat. After 19
blows, Hiarcs gives itself an advantage from + 2.39! Christophe Léotard takes a
"time out " of the 28/10 to the 2/11. See the parts in line (brought up to date
25/10) on an applet Java
