I object. I will carry on objecting. You can try and get the >moderators to censor me, but I still object. I see it as unfair, >unreasonable and unpleasant; and worse, as apart of a pattern of >mob-ideology, ostracism and kicking of the weak which started with RT, >went on to KK, and now targets Mchess. And if I make myself thoroughly >unpopular fighting it, then so be it. Blah blah blah... Sure, put the stamp victim on your head. Strong argument.... You refer a personal opinion of Jeroen to a "campaign" and you sit on it and made a big topic. That's the whole story here. Personally I fully agree with Jeroen as I have the same "opinion". The subject was discussed in RGCC 1.5 year ago in detail. Topic "book-cooks" on which I haven't changed my mind. The subject "book-cooks" since that time is "solved" using book-learning. So what Jeroen said about Necchi (although true) is "old uninteresting news" for me. Despite of that I expect from Jeroen to remove (fix) *any* anti-Rebel line found in other chess programs opening books because they are there and are not limited to one program in particular. IMO Jeroen has every right to talk about this subject. He just like me and most others here have a passion for chess and computer chess in particular. If he feels bad about "book-cooking" that doesn't mean he doesn't like the programs in question. Neither is it justified by you to imply there is a "campaign" because of an opinion. You and I (although commercial) in our hearts still are the same as many other chess programmers reading this message board. We have a passion for computer chess. That's one of the reasons why our programs are good and we still continue. We discuss topics here with heart and soul. It's dirty of you to make advantage of that by implying Jeroen's opinion is a "campaign" to hurt a commercial opponent and sit on that statement and make it a big topic. - Ed - >Chris Whittington
