We dont yet know what kramnik will do for computer chess. Kasparov has also hurt computer chess not just helped it. After losing to deep blue and throwing a temper tantrum ibm gave up on the deep blue project without testing against other players. Maybe a high level project will re-emerge to challenge kramnik.
