Go up one level in this thread
H: Actually I consider KChess-Elite 3.5 a decently strong program, but not good enough for a real experienced chess player. If it happens that at the same time is too strong for a beginner, then this program face a real problem because, then, it has not a market niche. Even more, the flaw would be serious as much this program has been created precisely for beginners or more or less casual players or people that has just the desire to learn and so it should be friendly with them with a real weak level. Anyway, it has a pretty gui and some other features worthy of attention, so I think that if the author could get the concour of some other programmers in order to add some new and stronger engines -the current one is an adaptation of an old engine of the 80's or beginning of 90's- I would be interested in getting the stuff.
