Yes, I know. I was just saying that the max positional score was
about one pawn in my own program, because I haven't yet tried
to evaluate the kind of high positional compensation you mention.
The main point of my post was the pruning of captures that do
not capture a "big enough" piece, because I thought that this
was what the original poster was missing.
