I was as shocked as anybody here when today's game came to its premature end. If, as seems probable, GK is suffering from depressions so severe that he is unable to play chess, the honourable thing to do would be to resign the match, accepting any possible fines Braingames might impose. (Lasker gave up his match against Capablanca when he considered his situation hopeless.) I am aware, of course, that there may be other explanations. Perhaps he did indeed realize that he was going to lose the match and is now carefully preparing an excuse. (I regret having to say that this explanation is quite in keeping with what we have come to expect of GK, cf. the Deeper Blue episode.) Charley PS. I know this is entirely unrelated to computer chess, but I am not the only sinner in this regard here, and I think this is an exceptional case.
