The seemingly lack of preparation and the current mental and physical disposition suggests that something is wrong with Kasparov. It has nothing to do with feeling inferior as some has mentioned here. To my knowledge, Kasparov has never felt inferior to any human player. Kramnik has played very solidly, but hardly spectacular chess. The difference in preparation tells a story, which will probably be revealed after the match. >I am aware, of course, that there may be other explanations. It's unfortunate that an old exhibition match against a computer can be used in every conceivable context without contemplation. This is a reason why GM's should stay away from matches like that and I certainly hope that Kramnik will do so if/when he becomes BGN Champion. Mogens.
