What to buy? I'll probably have 4 or 5 choices. Chessmaster 8000, Shredder 5, Fritz 7, Rebel Century 3, or other. Chessmaster 8000 might be more like a learning program. It stil has a small book and secondary time controls still not available. Shredder 5 is the world computer champion. Hope to learn more about this. Rebel Century 3 is a strong positional computer. Fritz 7 is a fighting one I believe. Way too early to decide. As for my book, I'll plan to put in 1 last update before the year is over. Also (to Chessmaster fans) I'll try to put in a few G/60 matches. Castle2000
