It's a difficult choice . Both CM8k and Fritz6 can load winboard engines, meaning you will have more than 60 engines to play with. I have both CM7K and F6. Personally, for serious analysis, I will load my game in Fritz6 rather than Cm7K because I can see the variations very graphically in F6. F6 GUI also allows maximum customisation. This is a big plus. But why not wait for F7 if your decision is to get F6? Also, as Pete would say : why not try the F6demo to see how you like it...
