Yes, the bigger the hardware, the better Gandalf will do.

Not all program act this way. In fact some programs, I have noticed show little
difference is strength when boosting the hardware.

If you were to increase the hashtables to 56 megs for Gandalf, you would notice
an even bigger improvement. For some odd reason, Gandalf does not do well with
it's biggest hashtable of 104 megs. 56 megs seems to be it's best setting.

You will also notice that if you had _all_ the tablebases ( being all the 5 man,
as Gandalf does not use 6 man ), that performance drops a bit. I believe that
this is due to the searching more data, and slowing the engine drastically.

When I used Gandalf, I used all 3 and 4 man, plus KRPKR, KRPKP, KBNKB, KBNKN,
KQPKP, KQPKQ. And all the promotion tables. This totals about 3.6 gigs of
tablebases, and seemed to be the best for Gandalf.
